To help meet your needs, I have compiled a list of local food pantries in our area. Many of these pantries are being assisted with food from the Northern Illinois Food Bank, which assists over 900 pantries and mobile food markets. Each week they are distributing free to you fresh groceries throughout Northern Illinois. Please keep in mind that these mobile food markets are first come, first served, and while supplies last. The following is the list I have complied with area free food distributions. Many are at Churches so I would suggest to call the phone numbers next to the listing to find out what their requirements are for identification purposes of proof of residency if needed, and to check on availability dates as sometimes those dates may change. You can also call 211 on your phone for United Way of Lake County who can assist you in food resources and information on utility bills help and other information.

6. Rahmah Food Pantry at Calvary Christian Church at 134 Monaville, Lake Villa Every Saturday from 12-2 (bring bags) from 12:00-2:00. Call 847-356-6181
7. Grace To Share at Redemption Hill Church at 25 Forest Ave. Fox Lake, The 1st & 3rd Fridays of every month from 12:30-2:30. Call 847-387-2952

11. Catholic Charities Food Pantry at 101 N. Cedar Lake Rd. Round Lake, Tuesday and Thursdays from 10-12 and 2-4:00. Call 847-546-4339
12. Lake Villa RX Mobile Pantry at Holy Family Episcopal Church at 25291 W. Lehman, First & Third Friday of every month from1:00 to 2:30 call 312-882-0168
